“No, nothing wrong with it at all,” Ashe said coyly. This could work in her favor—she just needed to get into character. A small smile touched her lips, and she glanced casually behind her, towards the direction they had been walking. Returning her gaze to his, she continued, “As it happens, we’ve arrived at my humble abode. I come here every now and then to get away from the Sun Village. All the drama and the hustle and bustle, you know.” They stood in front of a small lean-to. Secured with vines, a makeshift wall constructed of tree leaves, palm fronds, and branches supported a high roof composed of the same materials. The roof leaned against the wall of a rock face; a rough but large crevice carved out of the stone was piled with fur blankets and pillows, acting as a bed. There was also a small table, also apparently homemade. No other food, decorations, or objects were to be seen.
“It’s small, I know, but it’s like a second home to me,” she said, lacing her voice with compassion. Ashe walked over to the “bed” and sat down. She threw aside the blankets to reveal a slab of wood sitting inside the rock. After she removed it, a compartment was unearthed, where an abundance of consumables were hidden. “Come, get some food,” she offered with a smile.
"Hm, we arrived quicker than I thought. Though I can understand what you mean about drama." Wesley said as he looked at the small abode. So this is the belly of the beast. Beware there may be hidden traps here. His mistrusting side spoke to him. Wesley looked around the small makeshift house, small sure, but it should function as a nice shelter. His eyes caught the blankets, and the small table. "It's simple, but a very nice place." Wesley said hoping she would take it as a compliment.
"Does not matter if it is small. If it can keep out the rain it works." He said kindly. He watched as she moved the blankets to reveal a slab of wood right beside a rock. His eye brows raised when it was opened to reveal a lot of consumables inside. "Thank you for the food." He answered with a smile. Right here would be the perfect chance to kill you. Don't screw this up idiot. His thoughts attacked with a last little bit of verbal abuse. Wesley sat down his right hand near his tanto. "So... is there anything we need to get out of the way before we eat?" Wesley asked a evil like grin gracing his face, his body was alert, ready for just about anything.
Ashe watched as his eyes scoured the place, mistrust in every turn of his head. How could anyone be so paranoid? she asked herself. It didn’t matter; trust or no trust, she was confident in her ability to kill him at any time. She alone knew of the secret panel below the food compartment that held her assortment of homemade daggers, and she took comfort from the unfailing pressure of Dreke’s ebony blade on her thigh.
At his shallow compliments she forced Catelyn, her character, to smile. Hopefully it would convince him more than the forced twists of her lips that she had produced before. Smiling wasn’t something she did very often. “You’re welcome,” she replied cordially when he thanked her for the food.
He placed himself next to her on her bed, and she forced herself not to tense up. She saw his right hand move to the weapon on his side; was he about to kill her? Or was the action out of defense, fear for himself?
And then he surprised her, again. His words had a bad habit of doing that; maybe she should cut out his tongue first. But she had to go with it; play the role, stay in character, just like Dreke had always taught her...up until his dying day.
Catelyn was lonely, a vulnerable little flower in a field of heavy tramplers. Of course she would make a move on him. And so must Ashe, if she desired to play her cards correctly.
“Get out of the way?” she repeated coyly. She hoped she had read the devilish grin on his face correctly, and that this Joel was just as lonely as Catelyn was. “You mean, like this?” And as she silently drew her dagger from its sheath, she leaned forward and kissed him, right on the lips, holding her dagger in one hand behind his back, poised to strike.
Alarm bells were ringing in Wesley's head. Catelyn just kissed him, one problem he could not see one of her hands. Dingaling idiot here it comes, you ready for what is coming next? His mistrusting thoughts ridiculed him. It told him something that he had already knew, but what was the plan to deal with it? He just had to keep drawing her in let her drop her guard thinking he would be a easy kill. You know the saying... just keep it in line and don't get burned you horned up-. Wesley cut off the thought in his mind with a sigh. He blamed the captain for this, left his mind develop a mistrusting side that loved to bully him.
"Yep just like that." Wesley said after he blinked a couple times in surprise. He brought one hand up, placing it on her shoulder before putting a little more force into the kiss to make her think that he was getting into it. Everything was in place just had to execute the next step before she struck. "You know you are a good kisser, maybe there is something beneficial for me in this place. What do you think?" He asked maybe to throw her timing off by a little if it was necessary.
Ashe let a soft smile show on her face, only a sliver of the elation she felt internally. She had him. And now, she would kill him. He was so close to her, she could stab him at any moment if she wanted to.
And then, another surprise. He wanted to stay with her. Well, she would be sure that didn’t happen. Her arm itched to plunge the dagger into his back, twisting, digging. She loved that feeling. Soon, she promised herself. She played with the idea of toying with him a little more. It was just too good. The fastest way to kill a man is through his heart. She loved not having feelings. It made life so much easier.
She stored her dagger back inside its leather sheath. “Thank you. And that’s an interesting idea…but we can’t stay here forever, you know.” She kissed him again, just to toy with him. “We have to go back to the Sun Village. People will start to wonder.”
Wesley did not let the surprised feeling inside show on his face. He could have swore that this moment was the best time to make her move if she was going to try to kill him. Don't worry there is still plenty of time for her to kill you. She could of decided against killing you for now, it's just a stay of execution. His thoughts failed to comfort him of her not trying to kill him. He was giving her the best show he can to make her think that she had the best chance of killing him. He did not know when she would make her attempt if she would. Maybe he sold it a bit too well and it has come around to bite him, that would push his counter back god only knew how long.
"So not making them wonder is a good thing? I could have thought it was good idea not to let them in on anything." Wesley said while he furrowed his brows. "Ah hell with it, what is next on the list?" He asked her before kissing her back. He had to take care unless he wanted to fall in love with her for real, he felt he was cutting it close.

Ashe grinned. How could one boy be so naive, yet also so paranoid? How could he be so guarded, yet so emotional as well? She decided that she liked that about him. So many of them were predictable. This Joel—it was probably not his real name, she figured—he was different. Wild, unprobabable, something entirely new. Even his scent was foreign. For the sake of sheer curiosity, she would love to learn more about the land from which he came. But they would not have time for that. She would have to kill him first, and time was running out.
“Oh, Joel.” She smiled at him. “You don’t understand. The Sun Clanners, they’re my family. They’re the only ones I have.” Her voice dripped with sweetness. She even mustered a few tears to her eyes. “My family, you see...they died of the plague when I was very small. The villagers became my family. Without them, I would be…alone.” She sniffed, wiping her eyes with her hand and simultaneously hiding her smirk. Ashe was enjoying this.
“And as for the list?” As she leaned forward to kiss him again, she slid her dagger out of its sheath again. Time to drop this charade, she thought to herself. Whipping her dagger under his chin, she whispered, “There was never any list. And there was never any Catelyn.”
As she poised to stab him through the heart, she stopped herself. She wouldn’t have, normally, but this one was different. “Any last words?” she asked, even though it was a cliche.

"I see so they are like your family and you have experienced loss." Wesley said in a sad tone as he closed his eyes for a couple moments. "That is... so very sad... even the loss I have experienced does not compare to your loss. You have my condolences." He continued to say in his sad tone. "As for the loneliness, surely you could find yourself a nice guy. I mean you have the looks, all you have to do go out there and find him." He said with his hand still on Catelyn's shoulder as he rubbed one of his eyes. He knew she had to be up to something, he only had to keep playing the game with her. If he did maybe he would come out on top.
Soon after he said that she kissed him again. Then he felt a familiar graze that felt like cold steel. Well looks like she is making her move, looks like you slipped up royally, you played her game and you lost. Now we are both going to die. Congratulations. He felt a smirk grace his face at the thought going through his mind. He wondered if his evil luck if one could call it that was about to run out. Well it seemed like it was time to roll the dice one more time see if his luck would end with good luck and not bad.
"I figured that there was no list... and that there was no Catelyn either. Though to tell the truth there is no Joel, but I figure you already pieced that together. You are very smart after all well at least in my eyes at least." Wesley spoke his smirk still on his face.
But before he could react she halted her blade for some reason. It was yet another thing that puzzled him. "Hehe what a interesting thing to ask. Not something I expected to hear to tell the truth." He said with a chuckle. Well it looked like now was the time for him to roll the bones again. "Anyways I do have something to say. Well two things. The first is let the pieces fall where they will. The second thing is this." He said before pulling her closer for a deep kiss. He was still set up to counter if he had to, but if he failed at least he could die knowing he kissed a pretty girl around his age more than a few times.

He was being so sweet towards the end, too. What a nice boy.
Ashe was surprised that he didn’t even try to struggle. As he revealed that Joel was not his real name, she nodded to herself. It made sense that he would lie to her. He was always so paranoid.
And so unpredictable, she added as he kissed her again, this time for longer. She decided she would play along. Kissing him made her feel good. It stirred a warmth in her breast that she had not felt for a very long time—or ever at all. During her youth, Ashe had never been interested in boys—or girls, for that matter. She had always derived her pleasure—the same pleasure that her peers sought from romance—in making others suffer. Oh, yes, she had had her flings with boys in her community, only to end the relationship heartlessly and laugh when they grieved and sobbed. It was her favorite kind of suffering.
But he—did he really care for her, or was he too acting only out of sexual desire? How could he, she asked herself? She had betrayed his trust (albeit, she had not been given much in the first place). Ashe did not care about his feelings, and she definitely did not ever want a relationship. And definitely not with him.
She held onto the kiss for as long as she could. That warmth made her feel human, and as much as she hated to admit it, she liked the feeling. But she had already fought this battle. She could never be like the rest of them.
You’re falling for him, you ninny! she heard a voice inside her head say. Maybe it was Ai’s voice. Maybe she was just going insane. I won’t, I won’t, I can’t, she berated herself. And there was one thing that he had said that was just a little off.
She replayed his words inside her head. “Let the pieces fall where they will,” he had said. Did he still, after all of this, have a trick up his sleeve? It would explain the kiss. And it would mean that she had never had him from the first place.
He had been so much fun to toy with. She almost didn’t want to kill him. And if she did kill him, who knew how long it would be until she had another one like this?
So she compromised.
“Thank you,” she whispered, as she dug her dagger deep into his shoulder. It wouldn’t be enough to kill him, but it would certainly make him scream.
Wesley wondered if his last roll of the dice worked, if it was going to save his life somehow. A little smile formed on his face when he heard her say 'Thank you.' Well that was before she dug her knife into his shoulder, if he got out of this alive his shoulder was going to be killing him for a pretty long time. "AHHH!" He screamed out in reaction to the foreign object of cold hard metal driving into his body. Man... how long has it been since someone actually managed to put a deep wound in me...? Two maybe three years, well I knew it was going to happen again sometime my luck is really sadistic. He thought to himself after his scream of pain. Well he made the girl happy with the things he did, but that did not mean jack crap. She held a advantage; though he still had one advantage he has not used just yet. He would not have to use it if he did not need too as she could change something to take away that advantage.
"Hehe, you know how long ngh it has been since someone actually ngh got a wound on me? It's been a very long time." He spoke to the girl while grunting in pain still. Though he felt a change going through him. "You know what's ngh... funny? I wanted to do this very same thing to the guy on the beach after dropping a tower on me. Ngh, oh my I think I am becoming sadistic. I think I have fallen for you. I blame you for this hehe." He spoke to her again the smile growing on his face little by little.
Joyful... looks like she finally broke you and got what she wanted. If I could literally come out of your body I'd kill her, then you myself. You can't even fight back against her right, stop thinking with your dick and fight her off. Drive your tanto into her stomach you idiot before you kill us both. I fucking hate you both. His untrusting thoughts began the verbal assault once more. He did not pay it any heed what so ever. He figured he could still figure a way out of this and possibly gain a few extra goals for the future.
His scream was music to her ears, and a laugh escaped her throat as she heard it. As Ashe listened to his petty speech, she noticed a small smile growing on his face, and hers disappeared in turn. How could he be smiling? She had ensured him as much pain as possible without causing him to pass out. But he—this smile—what could it mean?
He has tricked you, said a voice in her head.
As she occupied herself with the blood pooling from his shoulder—a beautiful lake of crimson red—thoughts whirled in her mind as she tried to wrap her head around his actions. How could he be possible? How could anyone smile through pain the way he was? It could only mean he had deceived her.
“Why are you smiling?” she whispered hoarsely. And suddenly, too suddenly, she felt the first cold tendrils of panic touching her heart. “WHY ARE YOU SMILING, FREAK?” she screamed as she plunged the dagger into his fresh wound again.
"Huh? Why am I smi- GAH!" Wesley was all he could get out before the girl stabbed him again. Oh so very smooth dumbass, I think we can both agree that you went a bit too far with that one. His thoughts stating the blatantly obvious. "So ngh you want to know why I was smiling?" He said, grunting from pain the smile disappearing off of his face. He did not think he would cause her to make this out burst.
"Well it is ngh because of the irony of my current situation... ngh nothing more than that. How I wanted to do ngh... I wanted to do this to the guy on the beach. Alas I am here with you stabbing into me causing all sorts of pain. Ifound the irony in that funny. Does that ngh... clear up the issue we are having here?" Wesley grunted out trying to calm his breathing. Oh how fun this was for him. Note to self: DO not go too far this one.
His words came from a long way away. This feeling was splendid; light, warmth, happiness! The color of his scarlet blood!
The feeling floated Ashe to an isle of memories from many years ago. What had the girl been named? Oh, yes—Breen. To many, Breen and Ashe were seen as “best friends,” “inseparable.” That was, of course, until she had killed the girl, stabbing her multiple times in the chest, head, and stomach. Ashe still remembered it as one of the best days of her life. Watching the lake of red pool out of the girl’s lifeless body, an expression of shock frozen on her face, reminded her very much of this young man in front of her. And to play with his emotions like she had! Oh, it was just too good. She didn’t care about his little enemy on the beach. The tide would take it, or some other survivor would. Maybe if she got especially hungry, she would go back and roast it for dinner. It had looked to be a skinny little thing, though—maybe not.
Her fear was forgotten in this moment of triumph. She wanted so badly to thrust her dagger through his neck and kiss his dead lips, licking the blood from his mouth. But then the fun would be over, and she would have to go and find someone else to torment. And he was especially fun.
Ashe smiled at him, drinking in the fear from his eyes. So helpless, she reflected. Beautiful, really, in his desperation. She slowly pulled the dagger from his shoulder, brushing his hair back from his forehead and letting drops of his blood drip onto his face. As they dripped onto his forehead, she admired the beautiful red pearls. “Your blood is so beautiful,” she told him. Carefully, she bent down to place her lips on his. While kissing him, she ran her blade down his exposed left arm, opening a cut lengthwise.
I think you have gotten a little bit too deep this time like th- Wesley cut off his ridiculing thoughts. He knew he was in a little bit too deep, he just had to wait for the chance to make his move where he wouldn't have a few knives sticking out of him in the end. He knew he was going to be hurting for a very long while.
He felt very slight relief when she pulled the knife from his shoulder. He wondered what she was up to when she brushed his hair away from his head, letting droplets of blood drop on his forehead. He wondered what could have made her this far gone he asked his other side. How the hell, should I know? Maybe she was out here alone for a very long time. His other side answered. Well that was not much help. Then she kissed him before suddenly running the knife down his left arm making a long cut. He grunted in pain while in the kiss, he found annoyance from being constantly being cut, and stabbed. He reached around with his right arm, placing his right hand on the back of her head to prolong the kiss a little bit longer. He removed his hand from her head putting it on her shoulder. Now if he could his other hand on her arm that held her knife. If he couldn't he would have to make his move without it.
A warmth stirred within her, and Ashe felt her heart begin to beat a little faster. She felt him grunt through her kiss, and she relished the feeling of his skin splitting like butter under her knife.
His hand on the back of her head aroused a stirring in her lower region, and her heart drummed in her chest. His hand slipped down to her shoulder, and she felt her knife clatter out of her fingers.
Careful, careful! a small voice whispered, but it was becoming more distant, and Ashe pushed it to the back of her head.
As her lips separated from his, she smiled at him—a real smile. You’re enjoying this too much. But she didn’t care. She only cared about him, and them, and the stirring warmth down there.
She traced the wound down his arm, and slid her fingers inside the slit, searching his eyes for the emotion of pain she so desperately lusted for. Her fingers emerged bloody, and she traced lines on his forehead and cheeks, marking his face with his own blood. Blood was so beautiful. It had pooled all over his clothes, now; the wound from his shoulder must hurt him desperately. She looked down at her own clothes and saw his blood there, too. Ashe decided to kiss him again, for the sake of her desire, resting her body against his.
