With a quick movement of her foot, the former moon clan woman kicked aside the remnants of a skeleton. Poor fool must have pissed off someone at this little refuge. Before both sun and moon clans killed any survivors who landed here. Now, there seemed to be more and more ships arriving almost every week. Were the moon goddess and sun god mocking the clans? Or did they intend for outsiders to enter this world? It baffled the woman. But she was here on business. These survivors had set up a nice little place here, and Liliandra often found new poisons from a man she had met that came to be here a few years back. She walked around till she came up to the mans little place of business and tossed a small sack of coins at him. "Here, as usual the normal pay you always ask for. Now give me my poisons."
Sky blue eyes watched as the hand took the small sack, weighing it and shaking it. After a few more exchanged words three little vials were handed to her. Lili tucked them away and headed back the way she came. These pathetic survivors, how she wished they would all disappear. But she had lost the favor of the goddess of the moon. Lost it the day she betrayed her clan and was exiled. Making her way out of the cove, she stopped to glance back over her shoulder. Eyes narrowed a little as she then returned her attention forward. It felt like she was being followed, but what poor fool would even think of following her? But as a warning she took out one of her darts and turning she threw it directly in the direction of where she thought that someone might be. Hope that little mouse was wise and moved, otherwise they would be in quite a bit of trouble.
The fact in itself that there were people residing in the shore wasn't bad, but for RED it was a bit bothersome as all of the wrecked ships had already been searched through and through, so there weren't any food, water or useful items for him to take. And sadly none of the people were altruistic enough to help a hungry and thirsty man, though at least he got a bit of information off of them about the island, so the brunette was left with very little choice but top brace himself to journey through the jungle in search of what he needed.
Shame he had trouble doing that right now, as he looked at the dense plant life with a groan. Not only did he need to watch out for the possibility of poisonous plants and hostile wildlife, but there were also the native people who seemed pretty hostile towards outsiders, not counting some of those who had been exiled from their clan. All in all this combination created a package of trouble that RED in no way was looking forward to dealing with, yet he didn't have any other good choice.
Still reluctant to head out to the jungle despite his stomach trying to urge him with its loud growls, something caught the man's eye. A woman who seemed to be doing some sort of exchange with a less than pleasant looking man was now heading in the direction of the jungle herself. The natives didn't bother coming to the shore that much, which was why most people who ended up stranded on the island lived in the shore, so RED had a good reason to assume the woman was a native exiled from her clan, and judging from her appearance the silver-haired beauty was quite likely from the Moon Clan.
Giving a tired sigh the brunette was finally able to muster up enough effort to get something done and began following the woman. He figured that he could try to ask for some help, as she would be a lot more likely to be helpful as a local, rather than one of the stranded, at least when it came to the jungle. He remained quiet, too lazy to call out to the woman, instead choosing to just walk at a bit faster or a pace than her to catch up with some time.
Once there were less than ten meters of distance between them and the two had a thicket between them RED couldn't help but notice a change in her state, thanks to his sixth sense. She was cautious, seeming to consider the man following him as a possible threat. Figuring that he really should call out to the beauty before she'd turn hostile, just as he raised his hand and opened his mouth RED stopped in an instant as the woman threw a dart in his direction. It wasn't directly aimed at him, seeming to be more of a warning, so the brunette remained in his place, allowing the dart to hit the ground with a soft thud.
Realizing that the person he had decided to follow was going to be a huge pain in the ass, the thought of just leaving right now popped into his mind. He could just wander around and try his luck in the jungle or try to make a deal with some of the residents in the shore. Yet, he didn't do any of those. Maybe it was his extreme hunger and thirst, or maybe almost drowning messed with his head, or maybe it was both of those things, but RED made the decision to just try his luck with the woman.
Picking up the dart from the ground, the brunette walked through the thicket greeting the woman with a half-raised hand. "Think you dropped this, miss," he grinned, waving the dart around a bit as if it were a toy.
So, there had been a nuisance following her. And judging by his appearance he didn't seem to be of sun or moon clan. How childish. Waving her dart around as if it were some toy, what a shame it missed him. She so would have loved to have a new victim wallowing in pain, begging her to heal them with an antidote. It was always a beautiful thing to watch. which is why she mostly used slow acting poisons. If her prey died too quickly it would take all the fun out of things. Liliandra folded her arms over her chest and narrowed her gaze slightly at the other, lips curled into a frown. But they soon parted to speak and address the other. "Oh did I? How clumsy of me. But as I recall, I got the impression a little mouse was following me and oops my hand slipped. Looks like my little present missed its mark. So why don't you be such dear and give that back to me." It was not his to keep, and she'd rather have it back and keep it to use for any other nuisances that may.....turn up.
"Just how long have you been following me? Isn't there a saying. Now what is that phrase. Curiosity killed the cat or something like that?" She wanted to know many other things as well. Did he see the exchange back at the shore? Had he seen what she got? This is why survivors should either stay put at the forbidden shore or just crawl under the nearest rock and perish. The clans already have enough problems with each other, and then these outsiders all began to show up. Not that she cared. Liliandra had killed her fair share of outsiders, and has also fought her fair share as well which ended in many defeats for her. But this young man, it was her first time seeing him. But that's probably because she didn't pay attention to the survivors at the shore.
Not wanting to waste too much time with this young man, as soon as she got her dart back she'd leave. True she could just kill him and be done with him, however Liliandra wanted to experiments with these vials she had gotten. If all worked out correctly, then what was in the vials could be used to make even more potent poisons. Mix different poisons and test them out on unwilling prey. "So, what is it going to be? Will you hand over my dart or should I see how well your reflexes are and toss a few more your way?"
The current atmosphere didn't quite fit, as most of the time you'd expect there to be at least a bit more tension, which there was none at the moment, though RED himself was more than thankful for that. The woman might've been a pain, but at least she wasn't unreasonable enough to show open hostility or straight up attack him.
Trying to muster up an apologetic expression, but giving up halfway through, as it would be insincere anyways, the brunette spoke up. "Ahh, sorry, sorry. In hindsight, I should've just called after you." RED purposefully left the beauty's question of since when he had started following her, as there was a good chance that she wouldn't be happy to know she had been followed since she had done her exchange. If she were to insist on an answer though, the man could certainly just lie, but if he could it go without doing that it'd be better.
With the question avoided, the woman seemed to be in a hurry to somewhere as she was now asking for the dart back, with a threat on the side, which RED had been toying around with the whole time. Spinning around the thing between his fingers, his eyes for a moment turned to the item and then immediately back to the woman, as he gave a lazy smile not showing a tinge of fear at the chance of being hurled more darts at. It wasn't that he thought she was bluffing, but more of him having the confidence that he'd win that fight. "Of course I'll give it back to you. It's yours after all," he said in a pleasant tone, starting to take steps towards the woman so he could hand the item over, though he did keep his guard up, not knowing how she'd act when he would be within her arm's reach. This was the woman who was ready to possibly kill him for a single dart after all. "Ah," RED pretended like he just got an idea in his head as he kept on walking towards the woman, "...y'know, I just ended up in this place, because of a storm and am pretty lost on what to do, and none of the people on the shore were kind enough to help me, so you think you could help a hungry and thirsty guy out?"
Standing now in front of the woman, taller than her and having to look down, as he stood at 6'1", the brunette offered the dart to her with an actual proper smile this time. "I'm not even asking for any food or water, though I would greatly appreciate it, but some info on locations for drinkable water or food, common threats of the jungle and such. Any info would be greatly appreciated." He could've tried to make an offer at this point, but RED wanted to try out his luck before using up his only bargaining chip, though he was highly doubtful the woman would help him for nothing.
Calling after her would have been the wisest thing to do. Even so she still would have giving him a warning shot to not follow her. Deep sky blue eyes watched as he approached, not once did she flinch or move from her spot. When he was close enough, hand was raised and took the dart which was offered to her. Fingers curled around the tiny weapon and pulled it to her chest. A smirk played across her lips. "What did you expect? That those outsiders from the forbidden shore would just welcome any lost souls? The clans used to just dispose of the likes of you people who washed up in that cove. It just used to be a regular cove, and all of a sudden mysterious ships and....strangers began appearing."
Well, this person was tall. She only stood at 5'7" and felt tiny compared to this stranger. But that meant nothing, Liliandra could fight just as well against a taller person. And information is what he was seeking. Well. Maybe she could help this little mouse, okay not so little mouse with what he needed. If she didn't do anything to him, the clans if they found him wandering around would either kill him or take him as a prisoner. So, she would give him the information he was asking for. But not out of the kindness of her frozen heart. "Food and water. There are plenty of animals to hunt, fish to catch in rivers if you can find them and plenty of water sources. All you have to do is simply explore the jungle. As for common threats, well. Traps set up by the sun and moon clans. Big animals that have a taste for human flesh, poisonous snakes. They have a very potent bite. I think that should be enough information. And I gave it all to you for free. It's not like you have anything I want or need anyways."
She already got her poisons, that was enough. She gave him information, what he did with that was up to him. For someone like her, she could find prime locations for water and food sources. As for the traps, Liliandra didn't know where all the traps were, only a few. "That's all you get from me. Now if you want the locations of these lovely places, I would have to ask for something from you. But do you have anything you can offer me? Something that would perk my interest?"
He was given info, but it was all something that he could've guessed, and actually had, without the woman mentioning them, so RED still had nothing to go with. He needed actual details, though asking them was quite meaningless obviously with how the person in front of him was like. At least without anything to give in exchange, which was at first a reasonable assumption from the man, though almost immediately after was confirmed by the silver-haired beauty.
At this point, RED had to make a decision. He either had to leave and try out his luck in the jungle blind, an idea that was bothersome in too many ways, or make an offer to the woman, though even then there was a chance of things not working out for one reason or another. There might've been a bit more thinking done on his part, but with his stomach letting out once again a mighty roar of hunger, he made a swift decision.
Keeping his dissatisfaction with the info provided and his slight hesitation on the decision he made to himself, hiding it behind a lax smile, the brunette laughed at the mention of paying for the info. "Well, I don't have much besides my clothes and body, which I doubt you're interested in, though I certainly wouldn't mind paying you with myself if you're the type to get cold in the night," he joked around a bit, his smile turning more flirtatious, though before he could've pushed any buttons too hard he continued, "...but I do have one more thing I could offer."
Not wasting any time to let any curiosity piqued in the woman to subside, RED kept talking. "I have the ability to sense life. As long as it is alive, be it human, an animal, a plant or whatever else, I can "see" it and many things about it within a certain area," he explained in a nonchalant tone, first pointing at the woman, then some kind of bird resting on a branch right above them and then the plant life surrounding them as he listed things he could "see". "This is the sixth sense, that is within all humans, though it's basically locked away from being used naturally. I, however, have the ability to remove this lock. So, you give me the information I want, with every detail I want as well, and you get the ability to use this sixth sense and I'll even teach you how to use it."
Nothing RED had said was a lie, but he did decide to not mention his ability to use life-force, or the fact that others could possibly use it, figuring that the ability to sense living things would be a good enough bargaining chip. If not, then he'd just leave and try out his luck in the jungle.
